??????????????????????
As per your bio written in the third person, ?Rosscott is kinda famous on the Internet?. Does said internet fame get you into all the sweet internet after parties?
You have NO idea. There’s an internet party happening RIGHT NOW.
Jimmy the Murderdog ? how can one dog be so bad?
Good breeding I suppose.
What are a few of the biggest challenges you face producing a webcomic?
Coming up with new ideas every time you need to update. You can’t just rely on waiting for an idea to come to you, because you have a schedule to keep. Otherwise the internet natives get restless.
As near as moderate internet googling can tell me, you?ve been making comics since 2001, at least on the web. What have you learned about (web)comicking over your 8 years of involvement with the medium?
That’s true, though hopefully nobody will read those old ones. The best thing I’ve learned making comics is that you need to just keep doing it if it’s something you love and want to get better at. Every comic I drew back then wasn’t great, but each one was better than the last.
Who are your biggest comic inspirations in web and/or print?
Considering the content of The System, I have to go with Garfield Minus Garfield, which has the level of minimalism I strive for. Only I didn’t used to have Garfield in it.
Is the regular commenter Rossmom actually your mom?
Yup! She can’t believe anyone else actually reads her posts.
Have you ever thought about seeking syndication for your comic?
Sure! I haven’t gotten any packets together, but I’d love to be syndicated if it didn’t mean giving up too much liberty. If you know a guy, send him my way.
You hate babies, but like kids. Have you thought about adopting an older child?
I’m too young for this shit.
Have you thought about the layered iconography that is created when you use existing iconic images with previously established meaning to become representative of new ideas and concepts in the iconographic language known as comics?
Yep.
Coke or Pepsi?
Coffee.
